In January 2026, our CEO, Flavio Acuña, represented Spa Natural Center at FITUR in Madrid, one of the most relevant gatherings in international tourism. His participation marked a significant start to the year for our organization, reaffirming the positioning of wellness as a strategic axis within contemporary tourism development.
During the event, Spa Natural Center was honored with the Tourism Excellence Award 2026, in the category Wellness – Healthier Societies, granted by Grupo Excelencias.
This recognition, embodied in a Blue Diamond that is traveling to the Dominican Republic, validates a model that understands wellness as a tool for social transformation, integrating well-being, community and territorial vision.
Likewise, our CEO received the Recognition for International Tourism Cooperation, granted by ASICOTUR in category C – Individuals, highlighting his career in promoting wellness tourism and building international networks.

FITUR was also a space for strategic dialogue with leaders who are actively influencing the evolution of global tourism today.
Among the most relevant meetings were the conversations with David Collado, Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, with whom perspectives were shared on the positioning of the country in high-value segments such as wellness tourism.
There was also an exchange with Simón Pedro Barceló, Chairman of Barceló Hotel Group, addressing the evolution of the hotel model and the new demands of the contemporary traveler.
Likewise, spaces for dialogue were created with Alejandro Rubín Carballo, President of ASICOTUR; with artificial intelligence expert Carme Artigas; with Juan Manuel Hernández, Vice President of Banco Popular Dominicano; and with representatives of regional tourism and real estate development.
Each of these meetings provides a complementary perspective on investment, innovation, international cooperation and territorial development, strengthening the strategic network that drives the evolution of Spa Natural Center.
One of the most significant milestones was the formalization of a strategic alliance with the Municipal District of Verón Punta Cana, through the signing of an agreement with its mayor, Ramón Antonio Ramírez.
The purpose of this agreement is to promote the positioning of Verón Punta Cana as a leading health and wellness destination, consolidating a structured development model in which the public and private sectors work in a coordinated manner.
For Spa Natural Center, this alliance represents a tangible commitment to territorial strengthening, the creation of opportunities and the building of tourism with a positive and sustainable impact.
